Rev. Liz Roberts joined the Windborne United Methodist Church Family in June 2008. Here is some information about our pastor. 

Pastor Roberts was raised in Wilmington, NC. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BA degree in Philosophy and Religion. Liz worked as a Director of Christian Education at First UMC-Morehead City and then attended Duke Divinity School where she earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2002. While in divinity school, she served as an intern with First UMC – Cary and with the Wesley Foundation at UNC- Chapel Hill. Upon her graduation from divinity school, she was appointed to Seaside United Methodist Church in Sunset Beach, NC where she served as the Associate Pastor for six years. At the 2006 NC Annual Conference, she was ordained an elder. She has been active in district and conference youth ministry for over a decade.

Liz Roberts and her husband Aaron Muscle were married February of 2008.  Liz and Aaron welcomed their daughter, Libby, into the family in November of 2008.  They also share their residence with their beagle, Lily. Aaron is a police officer for Duke University.
