Pianist

Ron Heckman has come to us from Millbrook UMC where he most recently served as Director of Music Ministries for nearly five years. He and his wife, Susy, live in N. Raleigh and have three children who all presently attend college--Allan, Chris and Tyson.

Ron earned his undergraduate and graduate music degrees from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he worked for many years with youth while developing an exemplary HS vocal music program. Ron's music background has been very diversified, and he enjoys playing several instruments in various styles.

Since college, Ron has served as a director or an accompanist for various church denominations. He has served in five Methodist churches during the past decade and has appreciated the Methodist variety of sacred music that empowers all to praise and glorify God in song.

Ron is looking forward to working with Windborne UMC singers and instrumentalists who wish to share their music gifts as part of music ministry.
