Windborne UMC sees our building as a mission station.  We feel that our job is to help lead the community of Windborne to share Jesus Christ as we reach out and touch people in Raleigh, North Carolina - The United States and the World!  Below are the missions that Windborne is currently involved with:

WIHN - Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network
            "A Community Response for Homeless Families"  Our last week for hosting in '08 will be the week of Nov. 30th - Dec. 7th.  We look forward to hosting our new guests and giving them a special Windborne welcome!  Volunteers, old and new, we promise you a great experience!

ABRO - American Belarussian Relief Organization
            A Christian based org. which houses Belarussian's orphaned and needy children for six weeks each summer and      provides them with medical,dental,spiritual, and emotional needs.

ZOE - Zimbabwe Orphan Endeavor
           Suppling Zimbabwe's orphans with uniforms and supplies for school.

North Raleigh Ministries - a crisis center here in North Raleigh that provides clothing, food, and financial assistance to families in our community who have fallen on hard times.

Samaritan's Purse - Operation Christmas Child
           Each year our congregation fills shoe boxes for needy children around the world who would not otherwise have a Christmas gift.   We will start filling boxes starting in October and the National Collection week is Nov.12-19th.  It is a simple and easy way to make a child's holiday!
